Benton County Draws Washington County Businesses

We hear two more Washington County firms have opened offices in Benton County.
John Ervin of Ervin and Co. CPAs opened a 1,500-SF office in Rogers on May 1. Ervin has had a Fayetteville office since 1978. He said the number of clients he has in Benton County has been steadily increasing. There are currently two employees working at the Rogers site, but Ervin said he plans to add more staff.
Farris Insurance Agency Inc. of Springdale is preparing to open a 2,000-SF office in Bentonville.
President Gary Jech (pronounced Yeck) said the Bentonville branch is scheduled to open in late June.
Farris has had an office in Springdale since 1983. Jech took over that office in 1993.
The new Farris office will be located on Midcities Drive between “J” and 28th streets.
Jech said 20 percent (more than 400 customers) of his business comes from Benton County.
The Bentonville site will employ three workers, but Jech plans to increase that number.
