Talking Tree Catches Eye
Very few locally produced television commercials stand out for their positive qualities, but one we’ve noticed lately does.
The commercial for Sweetser Properties of Fayetteville shows a man dressed as a tree, sitting in a car with a young lady.
The woman is graduating from college, so she believes her relationship with Sweetser Properties is over. (The company owns several apartment complexes near the University of Arkansas.)
But the tree, a symbol used in Sweetser’s logo, tells her he has apartments in east Fayetteville for young professionals. So all is well.
The commercial, produced by Paschall Strategic Communications’ Fayetteville office, is clever, humorous and professionally done. The acting is even good. A second commercial in the series features the tree playing basketball with a young man who is about to graduate.
Bill Paschall, president and CEO of the Little Rock company, opened an office in Fayetteville about nine months ago. James Sheppard, Steven Hinds and Steve Spencer in the Fayetteville office developed the Sweetser commercials. They were filmed in Little Rock, which still has a larger pool of actors, Paschall said.
