Area Home Sales Slow Year To Year

The Arkansas Realtors Association reported that March home sales decreased over the same period last year in both Benton and Washington counties.
The Realtors association data indicated there were 377 home units sold in Benton County in March 2006, which is a 19.4 percent decrease from 468 units sold in March 2005. Washington County showed a 5.6 percent decrease in sales with 252 units versus 268 units in March 2005.
For the year to date, home sales in Benton County have decreased 10.4 percent from the same 2005 reporting period and home sales in Washington County are down 5.5 percent.
