Celebrate Publisher Sues Former Employer

We recently came across another interesting lawsuit. It seems that Mari See, publisher of Celebrate Northwest Arkansas magazine, has filed suit against her former employer, Goglanian Bakeries Inc.

See said between April 2001 and August 2005, she managed the California bakery company’s business with Sam’s Club and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in Arkansas. She was supposed to get a commission of one-half of 1 percent on any sales increases seen by Goglanian.

See is asking the court to compel Goglanian to account for all her commissions due.

Goglanian claims See’s ability to service its key accounts diminished over time.

“She was promoting her own publishing company while she was supposed to be working for us and was often unavailable to us for performing company representative transactions,” Alex Goglanian, general manager, said in an October letter to See, which was filed as an exhibit. Goglanian claims See knew the commission program was over already.

See also recently filed a domestic business corporation, Team Dance Inc. We’re not sure what that’s about.
