McIntosh Group, Rockfish Finalize Proposed Merger
The McIntosh Group Inc., an advertising agency based in Fort Smith, announced in March its merger with Rockfish Studio, a Fayetteville-based interactive design and communications firm. The merger formed a new company, Rockfish Interactive, according to a press release. The company offers services in interactive Web design, application development and print media.
Kenny Tomlin, president of Rockfish Interactive, said he and Steve Clark of Fort Smith are co-owners in the business. Cameron Clement, who was director of brand development at TMG, is now creative and brand director for Rockfish.
“It was great talent on both sides … McIntosh has some great talent on that side,” said Tomlin about the merger. “It really is just a good fit.”
Rockfish now has locations in Fort Smith and Fayetteville. Tomlin said there are nine employees in Fort Smith and eight in Fayetteville. He plans to have about 25 total employees in both cities by the end of the year. Depending on their growth, he could add more.
Both locations have also found new space to move into. This month, Fort Smith’s office moved from downtown to 3,500 SF in the Arvest Bank building on Rogers Avenue. Later this month the Fayetteville office will move to the Three Sisters building on Dickson Street, doubling its size from 1,000 SF to 2,000 SF, Tomlin said.
