UA Hires Voorhies As Media Manager

The University of Arkansas announced on Feb. 7 that it had hired Steve Voorhies as manager of media relations. He replaced Charles Crowson, who left in October to work for Stone Ward, the Little Rock public relations firm.
Voorhies worked for more than 25 years at KFSM, Channel 5, in Fayetteville, beginning as a reporter and working his way up to Northwest Arkansas news director.
He left KFSM two years ago to work for WJHG-TV in Panama City, Fla.
Voorhies, who began his new job Feb. 1, works out of the UA’s Office of University Relations in Hotz Hall.
