We would like to credit The Morning News for breaking the story that Mitch Mustain said he will play football for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

The newspaper posted the story on its Web site at 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 16, then gave it to Hawgs Illustrated magazine, which is also owned by Stephens Media Group.

Northwest Arkansas television stations carried the story at 10 p.m. that night. Both The Morning News and Arkansas Democrat-Gazette had the story in print editions the next day.

Mustain, the most sought-after recruit in Arkansas history, had committed to the UA on Aug. 15 but withdrew that commitment on Dec. 7.
