Brian Hastings, plant manager at Hiram Walker in Fort Smith, took over as chairman of the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors.

He replaced Kenny Sparks who transferred to Oklahoma City with OGE Energy Corp., leaving his post as Arkansas manager for the company.

Tom Manksey, president of the Chamber, said Hastings took over as interim chairman Jan. 1 and was permanently named to that position by the board of directors Jan. 20.

He said he doesn’t expect any disruption on the Chamber’s work because of the change.

Roger Meek, Jr., a partner in Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in Fort Smith, moved from treasurer to vice chairman, and Jim Patridge, president of BancorpSouth Bank’s Fort Smith division, was elected as the Chamber’s new treasurer, Manskey said.
