Premier Advertising Named Small Business of the Year

The Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce selected Premier Advertising Specialties as the 2005 Small Business of the Year on Dec. 2 at the Chamber’s Small Business Appreciation Breakfast at the Holiday Inn City Center.
Tim and Debbie Johnson, owners of Premier Advertising, started the company in 1987 out of their home. The company is a full-service promotional product company that represents more than 4,000 manufacturers. The Johnsons develop ideas, create designs and do all the artwork from their home.
“We were honored,” Debbie Johnson said of winning the award. “We’re grateful to our customers because we wouldn’t be what we are today without them.”
Premier Advertising was nominated last year and made the top five finalists, but Bowen, Miclette, Britt & Merry of Arkansas won the first year the award was given out.
Debbie Johnson said sales have increased about 15 percent over last year, and that’s mainly due to the networking they do through the Chamber.
