On Wal-Mart and Trailer Parks

We saw Larry the Cable Guy on The Comedy Channel in early December. He referred to Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in his routine.

The blue-collar comedian said The Dixie Chicks had gone too far when they criticized President George W. Bush.

“Country music fans are traditionally patriotic and pro-American,” Larry said. “They might as well have gone to a trailer park with a megaphone and yelled ‘Wal-Mart sucks!'”

We noticed this tidbit on Larry’s Web site: “My father saw action in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Falklands, and a Wal-Mart in Jackson, Miss.!”

Larry’s DVD, “Git-R-Done,” is for sale on Walmart.com for $10.88.
