Speaking of gambling, we hear things are getting hot in St. Paul (Madison County).

According to The Madison County Record, “The Corner Store in St. Paul now has two Vegas-style game machines that you play for points. When you get so many points, you can cash them in for groceries or food they cook in the store, but you cannot use the points for gas or cigarettes.”

We called the store, and a woman who requested anonymity said the game points can’t be redeemed for gas or cigarettes because “it’s the law.”

She said one of the store’s video game is called Monkey Land. The other is Fruit Bonus.
