D-G Mis-Stuffs Some Oct. 9 Papers

Some people who received the Sunday, Oct. 9, issue of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette discovered that it contained an Oct. 2 issue of the “Business Matters” and classified advertising sections.

Hector Cueva, the newspaper’s circulation director, said the problem occurs occasionally and could be the fault of the D-G’s transportation department or a carrier.

The advanced printing run includes the “Business Matters” and classified sections, which (along with advertising inserts) are stuffed into the front sections of the newspaper before it is delivered.

Cueva said the problem may have been with only a few newspapers, but the Oct. 9 issue of the D-G delivered to the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal office contained the Oct. 2 sections inside.

“You’re probably not the only one,” Cueva said, “but you’re the only complaint we’ve had … We’ve had this happen before.”
