The Northwest Arkansas Art Directors Club will sponsor an awards show for area creative professionals called the Outlet Awards.

Much like the Northwest Arkansas Advertising Federation Awards, or Addys, The Outlet Awards will judge print and electronic advertising in flat, multi-page print entries, electronic media and three-dimensional works.

Eric Huber, president of the NWAADC and former creative director for the now closed Vulcan Creative Labs, said the Outlets will be judged by high-caliber creative professionals out of the area (Chicago; Boston; Austin, Texas; and Toronto, Canada). The Addy’s are judged by a mix of art directors and “non-creative” professionals, he said.

“This [awards show] is designed to be one of the cool ones,” Huber said.

To be eligible for the Outlets, entries must have been printed or published between Nov. 1, 2004, and Oct. 31. The deadline for entries is Nov. 4, and the show will be on Jan. 28 in Fayetteville. A complete list of regulations and entry forms can be found at www.outletawards.com.
