J.B. Hunt Tower in Lowell Apparently Behind Schedule

We hear the J.B. Hunt Tower project in Lowell is past its completion deadline. Word on the street is that the folks at J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. were supposed to move in by now, but they haven’t.

May Construction Co. is the general contractor on the project designed by Miller Boskus Lack Architects.

We’re not sure what happened, but we’ve heard there are “issues” with the building. What we do know is this: In every construction contract we’ve ever heard about, there is something called liquidated damages. We’ll be interested to see the final tab.
