Malco Buys Lot for Fayetteville Theater
Soon, Fayetteville will have its own stadium-seating theater.
Malco Theatres of Memphis has finally closed on a 12.9-acre lot in Fayetteville’s CMN Business Park. The theater will be located directly behind the Wal-Mart Supercenter at the corner of Steel and Joyce boulevards and will have 12 screens.
Malco got a heck of a deal, too. The total purchase price was $2.25 million, which means Malco paid close to $4 per SF.
Malco owns the Razorback 6 Cinema and Mall Twin Cinema in Fayetteville and the 12-screen Towne Center in Rogers (currently Northwest Arkansas’ only stadium-seating theater). Plans have been announced for two other 12-screen Malco movie theaters in Rogers, one in the Pinnacle Promenade and in Pleasant Crossing.
