JFK, Clinton and Obama to the SeniorPeopleMeet.com poll on the presidents who would have the “Best Profile for Online Dating.”

Told you it was silly.

In advance of the upcoming Presidents’ Day, SeniorPeopleMeet.com polled its members and asked: “Which American president would have the best profile for online dating?”

A majority — 40% — of single seniors chose Kennedy, followed by Bill Clinton, with Barack Obama running a pretty distant third. Bringing up the rear were Teddy Roosevelt, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
40% — John Kennedy
28% — Bill Clinton
11% — Barack Obama
9% — Teddy Roosevelt
6% — George Washington
6% — Abraham Lincoln

“The strength and legacy of John Kennedy’s charisma, looks and intelligence remains unchallenged, nearly 50 years on,” said Ron Worthy, vice president of People Media. “Many of the baby boomers at SeniorPeopleMeet remember the days of Camelot, and its vitality and appeal still resonates. As he was in life, JFK would be a force to be reckoned with as an online dater.”

OTHER SURVEY FINDINGS
• Female respondents were twice as likely as male respondents to name Barack Obama as the American president who would have the best profile for online dating: 14% of all women vs. 7% of all men.

• Male respondents, on the other hand, were slightly more likely than female respondents to name John Kennedy: 42% of all men vs. 38% of all women chose him.

• The sexes were pretty evenly divided on Bill Clinton: 28% of all male respondents cited him, compared to 27% of all female respondents.

• Men favored Teddy Roosevelt and George Washington slightly more than women did: 10% of all male respondents named Roosevelt, compared to 8% of all female respondents; 8% of all male respondents chose Washington, vs. 5% of all female respondents.

• By comparison, women favored Abraham Lincoln slightly more than men did: 7% of all women respondents named Lincoln, compared to 5% of all men.
