Forty Under 40: Tony Juneau, 32

One of the reasons Tony Juneau became an Eagle Scout was to get a set of wheels. He ended up with a lot more than that.

“My dad told me I had to become an Eagle Scout before I could get a car,” Juneau said. “I became an Eagle Scout two weeks before my 16th birthday.

“But [Boy] Scouts really gives you a good base for everything you want to do.”

Juneau, a Pine Bluff native, has done plenty. He attended the University of Arkansas, graduating with a finance degree in 2001, and added a law degree from Arkansas-Little Rock.

Juneau worked a year and a half at Mitchell Williams during that time and went full time after graduating. He moved to the Rogers office about four years ago, during the economic downturn.

With the bulk of his work centered on representing banks in litigation cases and medical malpractice defense, the move proved to be fortuitous.

“Seventy-five percent of life is where you’re at,” Juneau said.

Juneau plans to be at Mitchell Williams “for a long time,” but conceded another leaning.
“At some point in time, I think I’d like to get involved in politics,” he said. “I don’t know where or when, but I’ve always been interested in that.”

Juneau also is a highly active member of the Arkansas Bar Association and spends time each fall hunting with his father.
