Forty Under 40: Holly P. Smith
Holly Smith considers a job unfinished a problem. Her favorite part of her job: problem solving.
As co-owner of The New Century Group, Smith has a full plate of jobs on a daily basis.
“Service is truly my driving force each day,” Smith said. “If we’ve got a job in house or whether it’s an ad due out to a client, I like getting the job done and in the client’s hand before deadline.”
The New Century Group, which was started by Smith and Mary Mann in 1997 as an advertising agency, now includes New Century Printing and Graphics, New Century ExhibitLink, New Century Marketing and New Century Publishing.
“We really do want to grow the business,” Smith said. “We want to be able to meet the changing needs of our clients and the community.”
A graduate from the University of Arkansas with a B.S. in Interior Design and Housing and a minor in Art, Smith was born in Pine Bluff and graduated from Dumas High School.
She helped start the Lights of the Ozarks program and has been involved with United Way, the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, and Altrusa, a community service organization.
Smith, 31, enjoys scuba diving with her husband and playing with their three dogs.
