Ever wonder who is investing in all the bank activity in Northwest Arkansas? The Business Journal recently acquired a list of shareholders for three of the new banks and we found a few names we thought readers might like to see.

Head Razorbacks football coach Houston Nutt, baseball legend Tom Pagnozzi and John Tyson, chairman and CEO of Tyson Foods Inc., are all investors in Signature Bank of Arkansas. Nutt apparently anted up $20,000 on the bank, while both Pagnozzi and Tyson have staked $100,000 on their “Signature.” Tyson’s daughter, Olivia also has a $100,000 interest in the newbie venture.

All told, Signature rounded up $44.1 million in capital from a long list of investors.

A notable Pinnacle Bank shareholder is Brandon Barber, principle of the Barber Group Inc., who owns 2,000 shares worth $200,000.

In Parkway Bank’s bid to collect Northwest Arkansas stockholders, the group signed up Chris Crossland, vice president of Crossland Construction Co.’s Rogers division, with 264 shares or about a 0.22 percent stake in the bank. The Crossland company apparently purchased 2,632 shares worth 2.18 percent of the bank’s total stock value.
