Terra Studios On the Block for $2.2 Million

We found a listing on the Internet for a Northwest Arkansas business for sale. The item was for a giftware manufacturing and distribution company and the description said it included an artisans’ retreat, a campground and a themed restaurant. The asking price is $2.2 million.

Educated guesswork led us to Terra Studios in Durham, and we were right — sort of.

Robert Rogoff, general manager of Terra, said owners Leo and Rita Ward had listed the business, but didn’t really want to sell it unless the “right” offer came along.

He said more than anything, the couple wants Terra to flourish and continue.

But Rogoff, who joined Terra in October, is helping to keep the studio alive. Since he’s come on board, he said, the Wards haven’t been actively pursuing buyers.
