Between 50 and 60 businesses are expected to offer exhibits at the first Northwest Arkansas Hospitality Association Trade Show on April 14.

The event, hosted by the statewide Arkansas Hospitality Association, is being held at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center in Springdale.

In fall 2004, the 1,300-member group held its 60th anniversary show in Little Rock with about 2,000 attending.

The AHA is a membership organization geared toward the restaurant, tourism and lodging industries. The show is open to the public but has been marketed primarily to industry-related businesses. Cost of exhibiting starts at $300 for a 10-by-10-foot booth.

Admission is free, but there is a charge of $40 to attend the and dinner. The dinner will give attendees a chance to sample the wares of chefs competing in an event sponsored by Sam’s Club.

The store will donate products to be used in four competitive categories: appetizers, soups or salads, entrees and desserts.
