CitiScapes Enters ArkNet Alliance

Many Arkansas.Net customers began receiving complimentary direct mail subscription of CitiScapes Metro Monthly magazine in late February.

A letter that accompanied the magazine said a recent “strategic alliance” between the two entities would ensure Arkansas.Net customers a subscription as long as they remained customers.

CKB Management LLC of Fayetteville, led by Charles and Kimberly Sharpe, purchased controlling interest in CitiScapes on Dec. 1 from Horizon OmniMedia Corp. Charles Sharpe is the general partner in Arkansas.Net.

Charles Sharpe said about 3,000 copies of CitiScapes were mailed out to a selective list of customers. The list culled out-of-area customers and “inappropriate mailings,” he said.

Aaron Bleidt, executive editor and associate publisher of the magazine, said the alliance further diversifies the distribution of the magazine and is a “citable” source of distribution numbers.

The magazine published about 20,970 issues in January, and Bleidt said the February order was about the same.

Charles Sharpe said orders will remain the same for the foreseeable future. He declined to say how much the mailing cost.
