McSpadden Leaves The Blessing

Golf Pro Chris McSpadden has left his position at The Blessing golf course in Johnson, effective Jan. 21.

McSpadden said he’s entering a buyer’s training program with the Sam’s Club division of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in Bentonville. The move is bittersweet, he said, because he still loves the game, but his new job will give him more time with his wife and two young boys.

The Blessing, a pet project of John Tyson’s, has been recruiting for a new pro since McSpadden’s resignation in November. They should have a replacement soon, he said, because the course had several qualified candidates.
