Arkansas? 2Q Real Personal Income Grows 4.1 Percent

In the second quarter of 2004, Arkansas was first out of seven regional states in real personal income growth, outpacing No. 2 Mississippi by 0.7 percent.

Arkansas showed significant improvement in the second quarter of 2004, climbing from a positive 1.5 percent change for the second quarter in 2003.

“The Natural State” beat the U.S. mean, which was a 2.8 percent increase, by 1.3 percent.

The Fed published the second-quarter numbers in the January issue of The Regional Economist banking magazine, which is published quarterly.

The seven-state area is a regional designation of the Eighth Federal Reserve District under the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis.
