Keenan Tower House Makes Travel Channel

The Keenan Tower House in Fayetteville was the featured abode in the “Above Ground Getaways” episode of “Amazing Vacation Homes,” a television series on Discovery’s Travel Channel. The episode aired several times in November and early December.
James Keenan built the four-story, 1,000-SF house in 2000 off Old Missouri Road. It’s 82 feet tall (32 feet above the treetop canopy). Marlon Blackwell of Fayetteville was the architect. The building appraised for $356,850.
Keenan said he wanted a house that reminded him of the tree house his grandfather built for him in the backyard of his childhood home in Fayetteville.
