Tim Kizer left the University of Arkansas on Dec. 2 to head Doing Business in Bentonville, a series of seminars aimed at vendors to Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Kizer had served for three and a half years as director of executive education at the Walton College of Business, helping create a world-class professional development program.

Doing Business in Bentonville will consist of nine monthly seminars, each lasting from two to 2.5 hours. Topics will include things like forecasting, consumer insights, RFID, marketing, team dynamics and global sourcing. Speakers will come from both business and academic communities. Costs will be $99 to $150 per seminar. The first program will be held Jan. 27 at the Embassy Suites in Rogers.
