Zaxby?s Slated For Bentonville

Brian Driggers plans to move from Georgia and open a Zaxby’s chicken restaurant in Bentonville at the corner of Walton Boulevard and Southeast “J” Street.

A large-scale development plan for the 3,378-SF building was approved by the Bentonville Planning Commission on Oct. 2. The restaurant will seat 89 diners.

Green Street Capital Corp. of Gainesville, Ga., is the developer.

We were unable to reach Driggers to determine when construction would begin or be completed.

Zaxby’s was founded in Statesboro, Ga., in 1990 by Zack McLeroy and Tony Townley. The company has more than 200 restaurants in eight states throughout the southeast with plans for 1,000 by 2006.

The Bentonville location will be Zaxby’s first in Arkansas.
