Three Fayetteville developers signed a contract on Oct. 6 to buy the three-story, 77,000-SF Bank of America building on the east side of the downtown Fayetteville square from the Arkansas Teacher Retirement System for $4.4 million.

Richard Alexander, Rob Merry-Ship and John Nock are the new owners.

“We’re going to be taking on other partners,” Alexander said.

The group plans to renovate the top floor (and possibly the second floor) of the building to be used as condominiums. Bank of America will remain the first floor tenant.

Alexander said parts of the building may also be used for office or retail space.

The building takes up the entire east side of the square. Alexander, Merry-Ship, Lamar Anderson and Ted Belden also own the renovated Campbell-Bell building, which takes up the majority of the west side of the square.
