Richard Huntsinger, former owner of Springdale’s Arkansas Surgical Supply, has been named Beta-Rubicon Inc.’s first chief operating officer.

Ron Goforth, president of the Fayetteville-based technology assessment and consulting firm, said Huntsinger was hired as the “business person” to take over operational aspects of the company so Goforth can focus on the technical side.

This is the first step in maturity beyond an entrepreneurial company into a successful one, Goforth said.

“This company will survive me,” Goforth said. He sees the addition of a chief operating officer as a movement in that direction.

On August 4, the company held its annual shareholder’s meeting and elected a new board of directors.

Two members, Goforth and Richard Bundrick of Fayetteville, will remain directors.

Newly elected members are: Bill Ackerman of Fayetteville, Laurel Donoho of San Antonio, Collis Geren of Fayetteville and Michele Harrington of Springdale.
