HOK Architecture Firm Holds Springdale Charrette

Helmuth, Obata & Kassabaum Inc., the Kansas City architecture firm that designed the University of Arkansas’ Baum Stadium and does business as HOK, recently held a planning exercise, or charrette, related to 750 acres in west Springdale.
It is the area where a proposed minor league baseball park, in door sports arena, high school football complex and other retail and commercial developments are being considered. About 30 property owners and officials attended the quiet meeting, and apparently some master planning designs are in the works.
The concrete isn’t being poured yet, but we’re told things are moving forward slowly.
Market drivers, incorporating residential elements, time tables and financing are all being discussed.
