Tyson Information Techs Take Over Kmart Building

For those curious about what Tyson Foods Inc. is doing down at the former Kmart building at 2231 W. 6th St. in Fayetteville, it turns out the company has moved about 250 information systems workers into that 73,000 SF of space.

The Springdale poultry, pork and beef producer began about $670,000 worth renovations at the facility back in February. The group is working on a special project related to the further integration of information technology systems post Tyson Foods’ 2001 acquisition of IBP Inc. for $4.6 billion.
