Local HealthSouth Receives Honor

HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Fayetteville has been recognized as a “Stroke Rehabilitation Center of Excellence.” The honor was given to eight hospitals out of HealthSouth’s network of more than 100.
The internal program recognizes the accomplishments of HealthSouth hospitals that have made strides in clinical programming and stroke patient outcomes.
This is the second year of the award program and HealthSouth’s second year to receive the award. Factors include patient satisfaction, specialized staff and support groups.
HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital, a 60-bed rehabilitation facility, that sees 1,200 patients annually including about 200 stroke patients. It is a partner with Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
