Rib Crib Plans Rogers Restaurant

Bold Ribs Inc. of Springfield, Mo., plans to build a 6,000-SF Rib Crib restaurant on the southeast corner of 38th and Walnut streets in Rogers. But the large-scale development plans have yet to be approved by the Rogers Planning Commission.

The proposed restaurant would seat 250 diners and have a full bar. The Rib Crib will employ between 60 and 80 people, said Malissa Hauswirth, a spokeswoman for Bold Ribs. Hauswirth said the company is also considering locations in Bentonville and Harrison.

Bold Ribs is a franchisee for Rib Crib Corp. of Broken Arrow, Okla., which has a total of 22 barbecue restaurants in Oklahoma, Missouri and Florida. Bold Ribs has four Rib Cribs, all of which are in Missouri. The Rogers location will be the first Rib Crib in Arkansas.
