GDH Consulting provides staffing for information technology positions in three ways: short-term contract basis, contract-to-hire basis and permanent basis. It also can provide application and infrastructure project teams.

GDH has provided some services in Northwest Arkansas for nearly three years, but the Tulsa-based company opened a Fayetteville office March 1.

“We were doing a significant amount of business in Northwest Arkansas from the Tulsa office, and it made sense to have a dedicated staff,” said Chris Hampton, GDH regional manager.

Hampton and two account executives, Tamara Dampier and Jeff Scholtes, are running the Fayetteville office right now, but Hampton will hire another consultant and will likely add a fourth account executive within the next year.

Scholtes explained the GDH Consulting concept as “putting the right people and business together.” By hiring through GDH, local companies don’t have to worry about recruiting or screening candidates, and they get the chance to work with an IT professional before making a permanent commitment, Scholtes said.

What sets GDH apart from other staffing companies is the regional emphasis, Hampton said.

“We meet the needs of local clients with local talent,” he said.

GDH opened its Northwest Arkansas office on the Fayetteville Square, but Hampton said the company will likely find a more regional, permanent location in coming months.

The office opening was financed by GDH Consulting Inc., and Hampton said the full cost of setting up the local presence hasn’t been determined yet.

GDH also opened a Little Rock office recently. That office has one account executive. Hampton said the Little Rock office also will expand in coming months but the Northwest Arkansas GDH office will be “the hub” for the company’s presence in the state.

With its high level of service, Hampton said he expects GDH will increase its number of clients by at least 50 percent in the next year.
