The proposed 240-acre Brownstone development near the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport is apparently for sale. Steve Butcher, son of project visionary and local architect Perry Butcher, could not be reached to confirm an asking price.
But the word is a sale could be imminent.
Perry Butcher championed Brownstone before suffering a stroke last year that put the development on hold.
The mixed-use development, a 3 million-SF futuristic design on Arkansas Highway 12 in Bentonville, was expected to cost $450 million to build and have a $1.5 billion economic impact on the area.
