McDonald?s Moves to Front of Wal-Mart

The McDonald’s restaurant in the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 2875 W. Sixth St. in Fayetteville will soon move from the back to the front of the store. It will be located in an area that previously housed part of the Wal-Mart bakery.r

Bill Mathews of Mathews Management Corp. in Springdale, which owns the McDonald’s, said the move would increase the store’s revenue by about 30 percent.r

Mathews said four of his company’s 23 stores went to 24-hours-a-day operation on Oct. 1. Those stores are on Thompson Street in Springdale, on Sixth Street in Fayetteville (not the one in the Wal-Mart), the NASCAR store in Bentonville and the McDonald’s in Siloam Springs.
