Krispy Kreme Comes to Bentonville
By spring, there will be a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts shop in Bentonville.
A-OK LLC of Norman, Okla., plans to open a 4,000-SF Krispy Kreme Doughnuts shop in Mathias Properties’ Shops at the Forum.
“We’re working through the details right now, and we’re working through the site plan,” said a representative of the franchise group who requested his name not be used in this article. “We told Curtis he could go ahead and put a sign up.”
He was referring to Curtis Wray, vice president of Mathias Properties.
Construction will start this year.
A-OK owns 30 restaurants, including seven Krispy Kreme Doughnuts spots. A-OK owns three restaurants in Tulsa: Charleston’s, Pearl’s Seafood Grill and Mahogony Prime Steakhouse.
Krispy Kreme has also been in the news lately because the company plans to open test shops inside five Wal-Mart Supercenters — a doughnut-making retail store in Mount Airy, N.C.; doughnut and coffee shops in Virginia Beach, Va., and Scottsburg, Ind.; and shops that sell doughnuts delivered daily in Seymour, Ind., and Christiansburg, Va.
