Gearhart Leaves Kutak Rock

Jeffrey J. Gearhart, a partner at Kutak Rock LLP in Little Rock, is the latest in a series of Kutak Rockers to jump ship for corporate America. He’s landed a cushy lawyer gig at the world’s largest company, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in Bentonville.

A litigator of the caliber of Gearhart will likely be hard to replace, but Kutak is used to being a farm club for Arkansas’ corporate community. In recent years, Kutak lawyers who have made that leap include Les Baledge and Ruth Ann Wisener to Tyson Foods Inc.; Rick Massey to Stephens Inc.; and Tom Mars and David Stills to Wal-Mart.
