Nominations Due For Area Philanthropists

The Association of Fundraising Professionals will hold its second annual celebration of National Philanthropy Day with a luncheon Nov. 11 at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Springdale.
This year’s keynote speaker will be George Penick, president and chief executive officer of the Mid-South Foundation, a Jackson, Miss. organization that makes grants in Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi.
Dick Trammel, executive vice president of Arvest Bank Rogers and the 2002 outstanding volunteer fundraiser, will serve as the master of ceremonies this year.
Nominations for several categories are due July 11. Forms for making nominations are available through the Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation at 927-0970.
A selection committee made up of community leaders will select the winners.
