Tyson Chooses Agent To Sell, Lease Oklahoma Plant
Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale has named Binswanger/CBB of Philadelphia the exclusive agent for the sale or lease of its 62,460-SF food processing facility on 35 acres in Stilwell, Okla.
Tyson, the world’s largest meat processor, announced in December that it would close the Stilwell poultry plant as part of an effort to streamline its business and integrate the operations of meatpacker IBP Inc., which it purchased in 2001.
The Stilwell plant employed about 400 and produced deboned leg meat for international markets.
The plant consists of a one-story, USDA-approved building with an 18,300-SF production area and a 5,605-SF cooler area.
