Delta Still Expects Profit by Second Quarter
Rogers’ Delta Systems Inc. on May 12 released its first quarter results for the period ended March 31.
Delta, a PC-based software and motion control firm, is traded publicly on the Canadian Venture Exchange as “DLT.S” but all of its reports are in American dollars.
Delta reported $2.04 million in first quarter revenue, a 3 percent increase compared with $1.98 million from 2002’s first frame. Gross profit was down 4 percent but still strong, from $810,000 during 2002’s first quarter to $780,000 this year.
The firm still posted a net loss — $700,000 compared with $650,000 a year ago — although its release said it still expects to reach $14 million in 2003 revenue and achieve a positive net income during the second quarter.
