Emma or Bust

We have been hearing for sometime that Dent-A-Med Inc., currently located at 300 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville, will possibly be relocating.

The good news is it’s apparently going to stay in Northwest Arkansas and even better news is it appears to be heading to Emma Avenue in Springdale. The move could occur by summer.

Dent-A-Med employs between 80-100 people in the former SWEPCO building on the corner of Dickson Street and College Avenue. If it makes the move, it is likely to relocate in the Bank of America building on Emma Avenue.

Perry Webb, president of the Springdale Chamber of Commerce, would not confirm the rumor, but he did say such a company would be very important to his city’s downtown district.

“It would be an influx of professional jobs downtown,” Webb said. “That would be 80-100 people working downtown. That would mean a lot to the downtown economy. The revitalization of the downtown economy is something we’ve all been working on for quite a long time.”
