Best Ready For Bentonville
Best Motor Co. will move into its $4.3 million Bentonville automobile facility in April.
Currently located on U.S. Highway 71-Business in south Rogers, Best Motor Co. will move to 2517 S.E. Best Lane near Moberly Lane and Interstate 540 in east Bentonville. The 46,000-SF project will be adjacent to the Links at Bentonville apartment and golf complex.
Best is owned by Bryan Hunt. It is a Buick, Pontiac and GMC dealership.
Baldwin & Shell Construction Co. of Rogers is the general contractor on the project.
Riggins Gets Financing for 35 Springdale Homes
Kevin Riggins of Riggins Construction in Springdale on Jan. 13 got 35 loans totaling $3.48 million to build several homes at a new south Springdale subdivision.
Walnut Crossing subdivision will be at the intersection of Powell Street and Walnut Grove Road.
Riggins got 18 of his loans from First Security Bank, 12 from Bank of Arkansas, three from Pulaski Bank & Trust and two from Arvest Bank.
Homes at Walnut Crossing will range from about 1,865-2,046 SF. There will be 75 lots in the addition.
Also, Dan Broyles got two loans totaling $202,560 from United Bank in Springdale to build two homes at Walnut Crossing.
More Apartments Added in Springdale
James Mathias of Huntsville Apartments LLC in Springdale on Dec. 23 got a loan of $1.68 million from Arkansas National Bank for additional construction of an apartment complex in Springdale.
Mathias Construction is the general contractor on five new apartment buildings on Crutcher Street — just north of Robinson Avenue and west of Powell Street. The buildings will have 16 units each for a total of 80 new apartments. There will be one and two bedroom units ranging from 600-800 SF.
Springdale Schools Undergo Expansion
Springdale Public Schools recently purchased a pair of building permits valued at a combined $816,949 to add on to two of its elementary schools.
Elmdale Elementary School, located at 420 N.W. End St., will have an expansion of about 11,000 SF. Elmdale will get six new classrooms, two resource classrooms and two restrooms.
Lee Elementary School, located at 400 Quandt Ave., is getting an expansion of about 9,000 SF. That will include two classrooms and a library.
Heckathorn Construction Co. of Fayetteville is the general contractor on the project, which is expected to be completed in July.
Renaissance Addition Gets More From Martin
Jeff Martin of J Martin Co. of Fayetteville recently purchased five building permits valued at a combined $713,378 to add more homes at an west Springdale subdivision.
Renaissance subdivision is just east of Interstate 540.
Martin’s latest homes at Renaissance will be at 343, 514 and 530 Gascony Ave., 210 Chantilly Ave. and 404 Bordeaux Ave. The homes will range from 1,750-2,350 SF.
Lewis & Clark Head to Rogers
Jim and Darrell Potts of Springdale recently purchased a building permit valued at $663,660 to finish a tenant build out at a new outdoor sports retail store in west Rogers.
Lewis & Clark Outfitters will be located at 2530 Pinnacle Hills Parkway, Suite 100, at Rogers’ Pinnacle Place Plaza.
Baldwin & Shell Construction Co. of Rogers is the general contractor on the 14,748-SF facility. The target date for completion is April 15.
River Valley Continues Construction in Elkins
River Valley Homes Inc. and President Marty J. Haest Jr. on Jan. 9 got 10 loans totaling $652,636 from various banks to build homes at a new Elkins subdivision.
Oakwoods subdivision, about a mile east of the Arkansas highways 16 and 74 intersection, will have 186 lots.
Five of the loans were from First National Bank of Springdale, four were from Arkansas National Bank and the other was from Pulaski Bank & Trust.
Gabby Hills Enterprises of Springdale and Fochtman Enterprises of Fayetteville are the developers at Oakwoods.
Homes at Oakwoods will range from about 1,025-1,400 SF.
Boston Building Rogers Homes
Mike Boston Builders of Rogers recently purchased four building permits valued at a combined $471,036 to build more homes at a north central Rogers subdivision.
Patrick Place subdivision is located near Easy Street south of Hudson Road.
Boston’s latest homes at Patrick Place are on 1204, 1206, 1208 and 1210 N. 22nd Place. The homes range from 1,600-1,800 SF.
Wilkins Building Large Fayetteville Homes
Roger Wilkins Builders of Fayetteville on Jan. 14 purchased three building permits valued at a combined $451,600 to build a trio of new homes in Fayetteville.
Wilkins is building two homes at Stonebridge Meadows in southeast Fayetteville on South River Meadows Road. They will range from 3,490-3,608 SF. The third house will be on West Constitution Drive at Bridgeport subdivision in east Fayetteville and will be 2,930 SF.
Arc Construction Adds to Windwood
Ralph Walker of Arc Construction in Centerton on Jan. 9 secured four loans totaling $417,600 from Simmons First National Bank of Northwest Arkansas to build more homes at a large southwest Bentonville subdivision.
Windwood subdivision, off Arkansas Highway 102, will have about 400 homes.
Homes at Windwood will range from 1,500-1,900 SF. They will be priced from about $95,000-$115,000. The lots will include fully sodded yards, while the houses will include full-brick, maintenance-free exteriors; ceramic tile; cherry cabinets; and architectural shingles on the roof. Some will have Jacuzzi tubs.
Walker Continues Adding to Wildwood
Tommy Walker Construction Co. of Rogers recently purchased three more building permits valued at a combined $378,207 to continue his construction of homes at a southwest Bentonville subdivision.
Wildwood subdivision is located off Arkansas Highway 12 near Brightwood subdivision and is being developed by John and Mike Charlton.
Wildwood will have 71 lots in Phase I. It The homes there will range from 2,000-2,500 SF.
