La Prensa Serves 10,000 Readers

After we did our list of area newspapers in the Jan. 20 issue, we quickly heard from Edward Vega, publisher of the Spanish-language La Prensa Del Noroeste de Arkansas (The Press of Northwest Arkansas).
He informed us that La Prensa reaches more than 10,000 readers, which would make it the largest weekly newspaper in the area, but we didn’t include La Prensa on our list.
He’s right. But we forgot to mention at the bottom of our list that we only rank newspapers with paid circulation and that are audited. Copies of La Prensa are distributed for free.
We would like to take this opportunity, however, to say EZ Spanish Media is doing an excellent job with La Prensa. The newspaper obviously serves an important part of our community.
