Stan Bedford, CEO of Bedford Camera & Video, plans to open the company’s sixth store by early April at Lakewood Village Shopping Center in North Little Rock. The new store will occupy a 4,000-SF space that was previously home to a Party Land store.

Based in Springdale, Bedford’s is Arkansas’ largest chain of camera stores.

Bedford moved to Northwest Arkansas from Texas in 1973 and opened his first camera shop a year later in Springdale.

In 1979, Bedford branched out with stores in Fort Smith and Rogers. In 1997, he opened a location in Fayetteville. Beford entered the Little Rock market in 2000 with a store in Marketplace Shopping Center.

The new store at Lakewood Village will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The store will offer the same services as other Bedford locations, including film processing and printing (in as little as 29 minutes for 35mm film), digital services, photography classes, a drive-through window and a studio-portrait service.
