Citiscapes Sued

Linda D. Ralston, a former advertising sales employee of Citiscapes Metro Monthly magazine in Fayetteville, has filed suit in small claims court saying Editor Aaron Bleidt owes her $3,604.85 that he refused to pay.

“I was hired as an advertising manager, never as an intern,” Ralston wrote in her Nov. 8 court filing. “My 15 percent sales commission, when paid, was frequently underpaid or flatly denied. The ‘house’ claimed it to save money. Other responsibilities were haphazardly paid or not paid, i.e. distribution — paid; copy proofing — not paid.”

The case has been transferred to Fayetteville District Court, and trial has been set for April 7.

In the meantime, we noticed that the Business Matters section of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette carried a full-page advertisement for Citiscapes on the back page on Nov. 24.
