Brookers Face Foreclosure

Tim Brooker, who recently resigned as CEO of embattled Golf Entertainment Inc. in Springdale, and his wife, Paulita Brooker, are facing a foreclosure on their Siloam Springs home by that city’s office of Arvest Bank. That’s according to public records filed in Benton County.

Apparently, the Brookers used their home as collateral for a $100,000 loan for their Dogwood Achievement Center business in 1995. We hear that Dogwood — a formerly licensed residential treatment facility for adolescents with substance abuse and other disorders — has filed for bankruptcy. But multiple trips to the United States Bankruptcy Court in Fayetteville found no such filing.

Dogwood’s license, however, became “inactive” in 1996.

Brooker stepped down as CEO of Golf, a penny stock broadcasting company, on Aug. 22. That company is at the center of multiple legal battles and an investigation into its business dealings. (See stories, pages 4 and 12).

The Brookers could not be reached for comment.
