Owner and resident chiropractor at Life Family Chiropractic, Chris Ackey is eager to bring his training to Farmington residents.

Teaching wellness is high on Ackey’s agenda, because he believes it is the key to living a healthy life. Rather than waiting for symptoms or problems to appear, Ackey said it’s his goal to make certain his patients are healthy throughout their lives.

Having suffered from bad allergies and asthma as a child, Ackey said visits to a chiropractor eventually led to his wellness, and that’s what got him interested in chiropractic medicine.

After graduating in 1999 from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, he moved to Arkansas to be closer to family.

Ackey currently employs one full-time and one part-time chiropractic assistant. Working out of a 1,500-SF, two-story building on Main Street, Ackey said his No. 1 priority is educating the community.

“My goal is to educate the community on the importance of a healthy nervous system, because people tend not to realize that the spine and nervous system are the two most important things in the body,” Ackey said.

Ackey is competitive in prices, offering a grand opening special for less than $40 that includes consultation, examination, a noninvasive nerve interference scan, X-rays and a doctor’s report.
