Business Card to Incorporate CD Rom
Carmen Lehman of CR Lehman Properties in Rogers and developer of the upscale Village on the Creeks business center is using the latest in technology for her new business cards.
Designed by Barry Cobb, president of Live Light Media Services Inc. in Rogers, the business card is the size of a normal business card with normal business card information printed on it, but it also doubles as a CD Rom. It has complete information regarding CR Lehman Properties, including voice-overs and several different rooms to visit as if it were a regular Web site.
Cobb is a Rogers native who worked in the film industry in California before returning to Northwest Arkansas. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri and the University of Texas.
The state-of-the-art business cards don’t come cheap, ranging anywhere from $2.40 per card and up, depending on the quantity purchased. Lehman purchased 500 originally, with another order of 200 to come. A booklet comes with the card, explaining even more detail of the properties.
“It just gives a more vivid picture of things,” Lehman said.
Cobb said Lehman is “our first to do the business card CD in the actual business-card format.”
The business card CD has about 50 megabytes of memory, while a regular CD has about 600 megabyte of memory.
“Physically speaking, they’re the same thing,” Cobb said. “The business card is just stamped out of a regular CD.”
