TICKETsage Inc. Boosts Rodeo Ticket Sales
Fayetteville-based TICKETsage Inc. contributed to the success of Old Fort Days Rodeo in Fort Smith, which was held May 21-26. Stephen Cassar, president and CEO of the customized ticketing company, said ticket sales jumped $10,000, almost a 9 percent increase, from $112,000 in 2001 to $122,000 in 2002. Of that total, advanced ticket sales saw a rise from $26,880 to $59,780, an increase of 122 percent.
Founded in November 2001, TICKETsage was approached by the rodeo to develop a customized ticketing system. By creating a solution for the rodeo, Cassar said he realized he had created a product that filled a need for other organizations.
With a gross annual revenue of $400,000 and seven employees, the company is still relatively small. But Cassar sees that number increasing from $800,000 to $900,000 within the next five years thanks to several contracts that are in negotiations.
